Dear author,

Thank you so much for looking at this letter, (considering) writing for us, and overall for dedicating your time to other people’s fannish interests! It’s people like you making fandom go round.

The plural pronouns you’ll find throughout this letter aren’t the royal we—this is a joint signup of [archiveofourown.org profile] Arianne & [archiveofourown.org profile] patrexes, using our exchange account [archiveofourown.org profile] graiai. Art treats and/or pinch hits are welcome; we’re requesting fic as we’re both visually impaired, but we do appreciate visual art.

General likes: Unreliable narrators, emphasis on character voice and motive, moral ambiguity, character studies through porn, outsider POVs. Unhealthy established relationships and bad mental health in general. Incest, pseudo-incest, mentor/protégé, and big-P Platonic relationships. Tragedy and futile struggles—‘we will always end up here’ narratives. ‘Us against the world’ narratives. Ideas about sex and sexuality that don’t match modern western human ideas. Medical realism, medical kink, castration, blood and injury, painful sex, pain and amount of blood/injury exaggerated for kink purposes. Bruising, comeplay, gaping, and other physical indications of possessiveness. Power differences, size differences, age differences (including explicitly kinking on a character being or seeming underage). Oral fixations: making out, lip biting, finger sucking, smoking, cunnilingus. Intercrural, incomplete penetration, fingering after fucking. Emetophilia, dacryphilia, somnophilia, grief-stricken necrophilia.

We love the entire consensual-but-a-bad-idea to dubcon to noncon spectrum, and we especially love dubcon no matter which side it leans.

General DNWs: AUs that change the setting, including A/B/O and soulmark AUs. “Bad ends” (despair, no chance at escape, mindbreak, etc). Altered states (drugged, drunk, sex pollen, etc). Any onscreen or referenced harm to animals. Onscreen hands-on sexual contact under age 10. Shower/bath/rain sex or one character washing or grooming another (even consensual aftercare). Skin-related mutilation like flaying, burning, or branding. Unrequested trans headcanons or futanari. Scat.

Fandom-specific or prompt-specific DNWs are listed where they’re applicable. If a kink isn’t on our DNWs but is widely considered “opt-in”, consider this permission to follow your heart: you can also check our AO3s or twitters ([twitter.com profile] solusiylgalvus and [twitter.com profile] euladarnus) if you’re on the fence about something uncommon—we may well have written it or talk about it.

Ship(s): Charmian/Cleopatra
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Tags: Cunnilingus to relieve period cramps, Cunnilingus After Coming Inside, Fingering After Fucking, First Time Having Sex Postpartum, Postpartum Body Worship, Pregnant Sex
Optionals: Clothing - Lavish Historical Outfits, Inner Thigh Kisses, Position - Tribadism, Sex Toys - Historical Sex Toys, Vaginal fingering while wearing rings

Cleopatra may manipulate men for and/or with sex, but in the way of a queen’s maidservant her most intimate and valued relationship is with Charmian. Even loving Antony, Charmian is the one Cleopatra confides in, the one who isn’t replaceable, the one who matters more. We’d love exploration of that, not kinking on “sloppy seconds” so much as the inverse. After Cleopatra’s had a man she comes to Charmian; her first time after having her children is not with their father but with the woman who tended her during her pregnancies; when she’s bleeding and can’t conceive she’d rather have Charmian in her bed than any other—even Antony whom she does love.

Regarding the tribadism tag in particular, we’re in love with the idea of Charmian grinding on her queen’s thigh while worshipping her body, and being allowed to—it even being desired of her. We love mistress/servant relationships that while unequal aren’t wholly objectifying, either: Charmian not always strictly serving her queen but taking liberties for her own pleasure is the height of romance.

We’re familiar with the history, so feel free to work outside the scope of the TV canon if you so choose!

Request-specific DNW(s): major character death.

Final Fantasy XII

Ship(s): Occuria/Larsa Ferrinas Solidor, Larsa Ferrinas Solidor/Vayne Carudas Solidor
Warnings: Rape/Non-con
Tags: Character raised to obey male authority figures, Comforting a Loved One Who's Being Raped/Tortured, Getting off on how much partner trusts them, Hurt/Comfort where the Hurt was caused by the comforting party, Noncon - victim is gift from one rapist to another, Turned On By Loved One’s Distress
Optionals: Body Worship as Possessiveness, Degrading Praise, Falsely Gentle Threatening Touches, Fingerfucking - Fucking Partner’s Mouth with Fingers, Fucked While Time Is Stopped

The Occuria are utterly inhuman and most likely don’t care about or derive pleasure from sex in any form we’d recognize, but what they have noticed is how effective a tool it is for manipulation. Perhaps an Occurian hurts Larsa to punish Vayne or another party for attempting to wrest the reins of history out of Occurian hands. Perhaps Venat wants to test Vayne’s allegiance to her goal and requests to have Larsa (would Vayne truly give anything for the power he so desires?). Perhaps Larsa’s meddling with nethicite opens him up to Occurian control like Mjrn experienced and things go downhill from there, or the showdown with Vayne which culminates in his transformation into the Undying goes a little differently.

In any scenario, if anybody gets off it’s probably Vayne—the Occuria only emulating sexual behaviors (their own pleasure, if it’s chased at all, utterly incomprehensible and alien in nature), and Larsa probably too young for it to come up. We’d love exploring the potential recognition that what’s being emulated is Vayne’s own treatment of Larsa rather than simply nonspecific mortal sex acts. If you want to reference Gabranth/Larsa, that’s absolutely welcome too, and it could be a lot of fun to play with Larsa’s finding that horrifying, comforting, or anywhere in between—and Vayne’s intense jealousy if he recognized that treatment for what it was.

The tags more or less speak for themselves as to the dynamics we’re interested in; kinks/sex acts in general we’ve got a much less firm idea of. Any acts chosen for the psychological effect they might have on the third party and a focus on that would be ideal (including aftermath if you feel so inclined!): even acts as simple as a kiss and a handjob weaponized against the observer would work really well here. Permanent damage, extremely painful sex that for metaphysical reasons doesn’t leave any damage at all, sex specifically intended to be as close to painless as possible but is no less distressing for it, all wonderful and so is everything in between.

Request-specific DNW(s): Occuria with noncanon speech patterns (i.e., Venat not using iambic pentameter or the other Occuria not using iambic tetrameter): getting around this with incomprehensible speech Larsa can’t understand, or weird nonverbal telepathic communication is perfectly fine. Any established relationship involving Larsa portrayed as unambiguously healthy (whether or not Larsa would consider them loving and healthy).

Final Fantasy XIV

Ship(s): Urianger Augurelt/Louisoix Leveilleur
Warnings: Rape/Non-con, Underage
Tags: A Submits to Painful Sex to Please B, Asking For Forgiveness Through Submission, Forced to Pray During Non/Dubcon, Victim Honored to Have Aggressor’s Attention, Victim Prepares Their Body for Non/Dubcon
Optionals: Dubcon Due to Eagerness to Please, Face-Fucking as an Act of Trust, Falsely Gentle Threatening Touches, Fingerfucking - Fucking Partner’s Mouth with Fingers, Willing but not enthusiastic consent

So. Urianger is a student of prophecy, probably Mezaya Thousand Eyes reborn, and might even be an Ascian not yet ascended to his station (at least we think so). Enter this ship, with Louisoix who recognizes his nature and is out to convert him to the small-p path of the Twelve before he can be seduced toward Zodiark, and Urianger who is unaware of his identity and quite literally worships Louisoix. His veneration isn’t new, either: back in 1.2, Urianger says to Louisoix in front of the Warrior of Light, “Master, forgive me mine impertinence, but[…]”

Sixteen or seventeen year old Urianger, just having entered the Studium and desperate to impress the preeminent scholar and statesman Louisoix Leveilleur, who has taken a liking to him to the point of personally advising his courses of study and moving him into the Leveilleur manor, where he lived for years until moving to Eorzea? Love it. Older Urianger, working on his graduate studies in prophecy, well indoctrinated into Louisoix’s sphere of influence (a.k.a. cult) and his sexual preferences? Love it. 1.0 era long-established relationship, treated like a lover in an open secret within the Circle of Knowing? Any time after the Calamity with Urianger praying to “Master Louisoix” to guide his hand as he recalls how he used to serve? Getting fucked by the Phoenix his own devotion served to summon? It’s all cursed and we love it.

The image that inspired this whole request was from the “forced to pray” tag, Louisoix making Urianger properly venerate the Twelve with come still dripping down his thighs. We’re inordinately fond of the power dynamics within the Circle of Knowing and Louisoix’s willingness to lie to and manipulate… well, everyone, if Encyclopedia Eorzea is to be believed, and Urianger’s dialogue after the incident with the Warriors of Darkness really suggests Louisoix did a number on him. Urianger openly admits that he thinks Elidibus probably has the right of it, but that he couldn’t make himself betray Louisoix by joining the Ascians. However you’d want to translate that kind of power dynamic into sex, we’d love.

One specific detail we’re really into is that Urianger doesn’t exclusively use “thee” and “thy/thine”... Those are English’s old informal pronouns, where “you” was formal, and Urianger uses “you” with both Louisoix and Alisaie (whom he says in 3.x he considers to carry Louisoix’s legacy after his death). We’d love playing with this speech pattern… and no doubt it makes Urianger’s dialogue easier to write.

Request-specific DNW(s): none.

Thanks again, author, and hopefully something here has caught your interest.

Arianne & patrexes
